- Calls it a serious violation of international law.
- Warnings it will worsen humanitarian crisis and
deadlock.

- Supports a two-state solution for lasting peace.
The French Foreign Ministry condemned the
Israeli government's decision to expand military offensives throughout Gaza
City "in the strongest terms" in a statement released.
According to the Israeli plan, the entire Gaza enclave will be under the military control of the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).
“France strongly condemns the plan adopted overnight by the Israeli government to once again extend its military operations to take control of Gaza City,”
the ministry noted.
The murderous extension was characterized by
French officials as a component of a larger military effort to seize control of
Gaza.
The French ministry said that any plan that
would seize Gaza and force Palestinians to leave their land would be met with
"strong opposition" from Paris.
The ministry cautioned that such measures would
result in "serious violations of international law" and an
"absolute deadlock."
The occupation plan, according to French
officials, would dash Palestinian aspirations for peace and independence.
Additionally, France reaffirmed its support for
a two-state solution and emphasized the need for Gaza to join a future
Palestinian state led by the Palestinian Authority.
The declaration also hinted that Paris intends
to keep working cooperatively with allies and the UN to send out a global
stability force that would safeguard both Israelis and Palestinians.
Jean-Noel Barrot, the foreign minister, also
took to social media to protest the plan. He maintained that total occupation
would worsen Gaza's dire circumstances while not securing the release of
hostages held by Hamas or bringing about the disarming and capitulation of the
organization.
As the Israeli government proceeds with plans
for increased military control over Gaza, France and other nations worried
about breaches of international law and threats to regional peace have
condemned the massacre in Gaza once again.
The European nation, which is joined by powerful
nations like the UK, Canada, and Portugal, has already said that it will
recognize Palestine as a state during the September UN General Assembly.
Following Israeli-caused poverty and horrifying
fatalities in the Palestinian enclave from famine-related problems, support for
Palestine and Gaza is on the rise.
The number of famine deaths in Gaza has now reached 212 after 11 more deaths from starvation were recorded by the region's health authorities in the last 24 hours.
Why does France compare Israel's Gaza plans to violations of international law?
Constitute serious breaches of international
humanitarian law, including the prohibition against occupying territory by
force and forcibly displacing civilian populations.
Undermine the Palestinians' legitimate
aspirations to live in peace in a viable, sovereign, and contiguous state,
violating rights related to self-determination and sovereignty. Threaten
regional stability and do not improve security for Israelis, Palestinians, or
hostages held by Hamas.
France strongly opposes any plans for the
occupation of Gaza and forced displacement, calling these moves "serious
violations of international law" and has reiterated the need for Israel to
comply with international humanitarian law applicable in the Palestinian
Territories.
