An opposition group alleges Iran has intensified harassment and threats against its nationals in Germany, raising alarm over cross-border intimidation efforts.
According to him, the incidents show" an unknown intensification" in Iranian intelligence services' operations in Germany.
Iranian security agencies are allegedly draining Iranians abiding in Germany more constantly, hanging them and obliging them to give information about other exiles, German authorities, and an Iranian opposition group.
Iranian pressure and eavesdropping against exiled groups in Germany have been frequently reported by German intelligence services, and the primary domestic intelligence agency, BfV, stated in its annual report last year that the threat was still very real.
"In recent months, there has been an increasing number of reports related to Iran,"
it told Reuters in an email in response to questions, but gave no detailed figures.
In 2024, the BfV established a dedicated phone line for individuals to report suspected cases of foreign spying and terrorism.
A request for comment wasn't incontinently answered by Iran's Foreign Ministry.
Since the morning of the time, there have been over 100 cases in Germany, according to Javad Dabiran, prophet for the National Council of Resistance of Iran, an opposition association that's banned in Iran but has a significant presence overseas. He added that these cases generally involve compulsion to give information about other Iranian exiles.

The statistics office estimates that there are about 144,000 Iranians living in Germany.
The UN Special Rapporteur on human rights reported last month that Iranian authorities were engaging in "a growing pattern of transnational repression" against dissidents overseas by "intimidation, surveillance, and threats."

Intelligence sharing among the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution( BfV), Federal Criminal Police, Federal Prosecutor General, and original police ensures targeted individualities admit warnings and protection.
Germany has expelled diplomats linked to foreign international suppression sweats following violent or high- profile incidents to hold perpetrators responsible. The government invests in exile protection schemes and migration systems to guard political exiles from overdue persecution.
Collaboration among ministries, including justice and foreign affairs, oversees requests for repatriation or apprehensions linked to foreign suppression, icing legal oversight. Public mindfulness has been promoted via government reports and leaflets to help deportees identify foreign operatives and cover themselves. Despite sweats, challenges remain, similar as unlawful displacements; reforms and better monitoring of TNR cases are ongoing precedents.
